A client-centered perspective
Compassion and collaboration are key elements in growing through any life circumstance. Together, we can build a foundation to move forward with insight, hope and change.
Childhood is the foundation to build our adult experiences. Growth is moving forward.
I grew up in the Atlanta area and have enjoyed many different avenues in building my psychology practice.
I began teaching children and worked with multiple homeschool and educational co-op groups to build my knowledge of childhood educational development and parenting resources. I enjoyed teaching art fundamentals and ceramics while earning my Master’s degree from University of North Georgia in Mental Health Counseling. After building a private practice around play therapy, children’s emotional regulation, and parenting education I sought higher education. I completed my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Georgia and furthered my experience through community counseling agencies, college counseling centers and The Regent Center psychological testing sites. Today I serve both the Atlanta and Athens areas with multiple offices and telehealth services. My current practice is rooted in the principles of developmental psychology, psychoanalysis, an interpersonal therapeutic approach, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
